Rhapsody of Realities 3 July 2023: Triumphant in Adversities
SCRIPTURE: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. (Romans 8: 35-37).
Sometimes, when people give their hearts to Christ, they assume they aren’t supposed to face adversities or persecutions. But the Bible says count it all joy when you go through diverse tests (James 1:2). Tests, trials and persecution are all part of the package; never be flustered by them, because you’re more than a conqueror. You’re a victor in Christ Jesus.
The devil will try to sway you or throw darts at you. He may prowl around, seeking whom he may devour, but the Word tells you that to do: resist him with your faith! Ephesians 6:16 says to use the same faith – your shield of faith – to neutralize and extinguish Satan’s fiery darts: Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
We’re not on the defensive but on the offensive against Satan and his cohorts of darkness. We’re adequately fortified against their onslaughts and have dominion over them. Whether they are principalities, power, or the rulers of darkness of this world – they are subject to you in the Name of Jesus.
Keep living in the victory of Christ. Dominate your world, dominate your environment, and give Satan no chance. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:27 to give no place to the devil. Therefore, use that authority in His Name and subdue the evil and wicked one.

That’s what Jesus said to do: “And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils…” (Mark 16:17). It’s the first of the things He said we could so in His Name. Praise God!
CONFESSION: I have dominion and authority over principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. I dominate my world and frustrate the tokens of the adversary – His stratagems and maneuvers – by the power of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
FURTHER STUDY:
1 Peter 5: 8-9
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
Ephesians 6: 14 – 18
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
2 Corinthians 10: 3-4
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
