Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:30 – But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.
What we just read is one of the most powerful truths revealed to us in the Word of God. It’s so huge: Christ has been made our righteousness. Your righteousness is the righteousness of Jesus Christ; you didn’t earn it; you were born with it when you were born into Christ. Something powerful that the righteousness of God does in and for you is that it makes you a master. Righteousness-consciousness gives you dominion in life and over circumstances.
The Prophet Isaiah revealed this when he said in Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”
Your righteousness is of the Lord. This is what Paul referred to in Philippians 3:9 when he said, “And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.” Hallelujah! Every so often, boldly declare, “Christ is my righteousness!” Never allow Satan to deceive you into believing you’re not righteous enough for God’s blessings. You’re as righteous as Jesus is righteous since He is your righteousness. It’s His righteousness that matters, and that’s what you have.

Thank God for the righteousness of Jesus Christ: God’s blessing and gift to all men! Romans 5:17 declares, “For if by one man’s offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ).” You’ve been justified freely in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:24), with His life and nature of righteousness in your spirit. Now, you can boldly fellowship with God in love without a sense of guilt, condemnation or inferiority! Hallelujah!
CONFESSION: Blessed be God! I’ve been justified freely in Christ Jesus, with His life and nature of righteousness in my spirit. Thank you, Father, for the vicarious sacrifice of Jesus Christ through which I’ve been made righteous. Through the gift of righteousness that I’ve received, I walk in dominion and reign over circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
FURTHER STUDY: Romans 3:27-28 –
27 Then what becomes of [our] pride and [our] boasting? It is excluded (banished, ruled out entirely). On what principle? [On the principle] of doing good deeds? No, but on the principle of faith.
28 For we hold that a man is justified and made upright by faith independent of and distinctly apart from good deeds (works of the Law). [The observance of the Law has nothing to do with justification.]
Romans 4:1-8 –
[But] if so, what shall we say about Abraham, our forefather humanly speaking—[what did he] find out? [How does this affect his position, and what was gained by him?]
2 For if Abraham was justified (established as just by acquittal from guilt) by good works [that he did, then] he has grounds for boasting. But not before God!
3 For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed in (trusted in) God, and it was credited to his account as righteousness (right living and right standing with God).
4 Now to a laborer, his wages are not counted as a favor or a gift, but as an obligation (something owed to him).
5 But to one who, not working [by the Law], trusts (believes fully) in Him Who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited to him as righteousness (the standing acceptable to God).
6 Thus David congratulates the man and pronounces a blessing on him to whom God credits righteousness apart from the works he does:
7 Blessed and happy and to be envied are those whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered up and completely buried.
8 Blessed and happy and to be envied is the person of whose sin the Lord will take no account nor reckon it against him.
Titus 3:4-5 –
4 But when the goodness and loving-kindness of God our Savior to man [as man] appeared,
5 He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
Ephesians 2:4-5 –
4 But God—so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,
5 Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation).
