A 10-year-old girl, allegedly chased out of the house by her guardian on Wednesday, was on Thursday, rescued by residents of Diobu in Port Harcourt.
Prince Nwiro, National Coordinator of Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign, in a statement said the little girl identified as Favour Nnamdi, was seen by residents of Mile 2 Diobu roaming about and had to contact the organization.
According to him, the little girl was handed over to the Azikiwe Divisional Police Division in Ilabouchi, Mile 2 diobu, PortHarcourt.
He noted that the girl alleged that she was maltreated by her guardian, and called for an investigation into the matter.
