The Rivers State Police Command has declared as false the report that six children were rescued from an alleged female kidnapper at Mango Estate in Elelenwo, Port Harcourt, yesterday.
A Facebook user identified as Witty Smith had in a post said the woman was caught with the children tied in her room.
She noted that the children were rescued after one of them escaped and informed residents what was going on.
She said when residents of the area broke into the woman’s house, they found one of the kids dead.
However, Spokesperson of the state command, Grace Koko in a statement yesterday, debunked the claims noting that the kids are the woman’s grand children.
She explained that they had to investigate the matter after they were informed of the incident.
