The Rivers State Police Command, has denied reports making the rounds that unknown gunmen abducted some students of the State Polytechnic Bori, who were on their way to Port Harcourt, yesterday.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni in a chat with Journalists said the report is false.
He said an investigation carried out with the management of the school, shows that no such thing happened. He also said stated that no parent or guardian have reported the disappearance of their child or ward.
Popular Port Harcourt blogger, Nkiru Homann had reported that the students were abducted on their way to the State capital.
She had tweeted, “Nobody should bring dirty smelly politics to the kidnap of Bori students who were on their way to Port Harcourt! How dare you come to wall to say it’s a lie?”
