The Rivers State Government says it has not authorized any form of payment for school registration.
The state Commissioner for Education, Prof. Chinedu Mmom disclosed this in a statement in Port Harcourt Today.
According to him, Education in public schools is free as the state governor has not authorized any payment.
He urged parents/guardians to report any Head Teacher requesting for any form of payment from them, adding that the matter will be investigated and such a teacher dealt with if found guilty.
