Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has directed the Local Government Chairman of Obio/Akpor, Hon. George Ariolu to rename the Pabod Breweries/Oginiba Road.
Speaking at the commissioning of the Road, Wike said the road cannot be named after an organization that has done nothing to support the state government.
He directed the LGA Chairman to rename the road after the community to preserve its name.
The governor, also warned trailer drivers blocking the road to desist from the act, as he threatened to seize any trailer seen blocking the road.
He also warned the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and others to stay away from the slaughter market, adding that it was not built by their fathers.
“I will seize any trailer, tanker that blocks the Trans-Amadi/Oginiba road. Federal Government should stay away from Slaughter market. It is not their father that built the market,” he said.
