The Federal Government of Nigeria has dismissed claims from certain quarters that the abduction and release of the “Kankara” school boys in Katsina state was stage-managed.
Minister for Information and communication, Lai Mohammed dismissed the claims as senseless in an interview yesterday in Abuja.
He said those making such claims were disappointed that the release of the school boys was very fast like that of Dapchi, few years ago.
“Many naysayers would have loved the incident to linger and become the igniting rod for their attacks,” he said.
“Otherwise, how do we describe the spurious organisation like the Bring Back Our Boys that emerged within a few days of the capture of the students,” he added.
He warned such persons to stop politicising security issues in the country and support the government to ensure that the nation is well and truly secured.
