Popular Comedian and social media influencer, KO BABA has reacted to the announcement by the state government that all borehole owners should register, stating that it is just a ploy by the government to bill people and make money.
The outspoken comedian who made this known in a statement on his Facebook Page today, said the move is a waste of time. “Our water boards that have yearly budget and monthly salaries, what have they done to ensure we have water?” he queried.
The revered comic act who is known for his philanthropic gestures reiterated that it is not as if the initiative by the government is a commitment to ensure quality control and assurance of standard requirements, but a move to make money.
The State Commissioner for Water Resources and Rural Development, Dr. Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja had announced that borehole drillers and owners are to register with the state government. This is to ensure that what is served Rivers people as water, is of a high standard.
