The enrollment of one thousand youths in each local government area in the country for public works, a programme initiated by the federal government is expected to begin next week in Rivers State.
The State Chairman of the Selection Committee, Innocent Barikor who made this known in a chat with Journalists yesterday, said the programme is for everybody and not a party affair.
Barikor said the forms would be made available for residents of the state beginning from next week, so people can register. He assured that the process will be transparent and fair to all, irrespective of party affiliation.
He said although it is an unskilled program, there are opportunities reserved for about 200 graduates to perform specific functions.
