Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has explained the reason behind his visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House on Monday.
In a statement issued shortly after the meeting, Fubara said his visit was to express gratitude to the President for lifting the suspensions and state of emergency earlier imposed on the state.
The governor added that he also briefed President Tinubu on his resumption of duties and received advice from the President on charting the way forward for the state.
