Reactions have trailed the declaration of the Paramount Ruler of Emohua, HRH, Ohna Sergeant Awuse that his palace is only open to supporters of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Awuse, made the declaration on Tuesday after he returned from a medical trip overseas.
Reacting, leader of the supporters of Gov Fubara in Emohua, Charles Beke, described the declaration as unfortunate.
According to him, the declaration is a recipe for disaster.
He said, “With all due respect to His Majesty, this declaration is unfortunate and a clear recipe for disaster.
“All over the world, the traditional institution acts as the centripetal force which unite and bring the people together despite their perceived differences.
“The palace of the Paramount ruler is the home of all his subjects. Thus, the declaration of non supporters of Wike in Emohua as persona non grata to his palace is a bad development.”
Also a Chieftain of the APC and elder statesman, Sen. Andrew Uchendu criticized Awuse over the comments, adding that he has no right to restrict anyone from visiting the palace as it belongs to them all.
