The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Tony Okocha has called on the state governor, Sim Fubara to re-present the 2024 budget to the Martin-Amaewhule state assembly.
Okocha, an ally of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
According to him, the appeal Court ruling has showed that Amaewhule is the authentic Speaker of the state assembly, and the governor must obey the law and re-present the 2024 budget.
He accused the governor of gross misconduct and wondered where he gets money to fund projects when the budget has not been presented.
He also called on the G-60 led by Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere in the House of Representatives, and others to desist from interpreting court judgements to suit the state government.
