We ordinarily would have opted not to respond to the show of frustration and ignorance of fact demonstrated by Sogbeye Eli, the Spokesman of Rivers State APC 2023 campaign council, but it is important to set records straight.
It is essential to note, as against the propaganda being peddled by Sogbeye Eli, that the authority of Etche Local Government uncovered illicit activities going on at the tipper park in Chokocho community which includes drug trafficking, and other related criminal activities, and as a result of which the park was ordered closed down pending an ongoing investigation.
It is laughable to hear from the APC that PDP in Etche was intimidated by a rally that was organized in a two plots land park.
It is equally shameful that Sogbeye Eli has suddenly forgotten that right from 2015 till date, APC has never won any election in Etche LGA despite series of boasts by their leader and former Minster, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi during the 2015 and 2019 general elections.
No individual or group no matter how highly placed will be allowed under the guise of doing business to commit or aid crime, thereby sabotaging the relative peace and security that is being enjoyed today in Etche LGA courtesy of the proactive approach of Dr. Obinna Anyanwu .
On a final note, The Council Chairman, Dr. Obinna Anyanwu is committed to protecting the lives and properties of Etche people.
