Nigerian Singer, Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj, has been cleared of the rape allegation leveled against him by one Ms. Seyitan Babatayo.
The singer is now free because Ms. Seyitan had gone ahead to withdraw the case, while citing personal reasons. Seyitan stated that she is no longer interested in going ahead with the case.
Seyitan had accused the singer of raping her in a hotel in Lagos after attending a show. She had claimed, the singer forced his way into her hotel room after getting a spare key from the receptionist, and raped her.
D’banj has since denied the allegation and slammed her wit a N100 million defamation suit.
