R/S Ministry of Works Replaces Stolen Manhole Covers on Ikoku Flyover

The Rivers State Ministry of Works has replaced stolen manhole covers on the Nkpolu/Oroworukwo flyover, Port Harcourt.

The Ministry in a statement on Thursday said, ‘Yesterday, October 23, 2024, the Honorable Commissioner for Works, Olisaelloka Tasie-Amadi Esq DSSRS, swiftly responded to several reports of stolen gully pots and manhole covers on the Nkpolu/Oroworukwu (Ikoku) Flyover. A workforce was immediately mobilized to restore the essential infrastructure.

“The Ministry of Works regrets any inconvenience this incident may have caused motorists and appeals to the public to remain vigilant and also report and apprehend anyone found stealing or destroying road furniture and facilities within the state.

The Ministry is committed to maintaining the state’s road infrastructure and ensuring public safety.
