The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), says a platform has been introduced for people to begin their Permanent Voters Card registration online.
Obo Effanga, the commission’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in Rivers State, made this known in a statement on Monday. He said the platform was introduced to make the process more easy.
Effanga advised Nigerians to take advantage of the online platform to get registered when the exercise begins on Monday, June 28 2021.
He also explained that registration forms will be provided online, as applicants are required to fill in their data, upload a passport photograph, and a printout would be given to them.
“For people who have tight schedules, just by using technology, they can from the comfort of their homes start the registration online then come to INEC to get the temporary voters card printed for them after taking the biometric,” he said.
“You will have a printout with a code that when you go to the registration point, you will present the code to them. All they will do is to capture your finger print and your card is produced for you,” he added.
