The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been ordered by a Federal High Court in Abuja, not to end the ongoing voter registration exercise on June 30, 2022.
Kolawole Oluwadare, Deputy Director of Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), disclosed this in a statement today.
According to him, Honourable Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon (Court 10) granted an order of interim injunction following the hearing of an argument on motion exparte by (SERAP), on Monday.
The group had dragged INEC to court, following its refusal to extend the deadline for voter registration to allow eligible Nigerians to exercise their rights.
