The Petroleum Association of Nigeria (PTAN), in collaboration with the Nigerian Content and Developent Monitoring Board (NCDMB), has distributed palliatives to 10 host communities. This is to help cushion the effect of the lockdown in the communities.
Chairman of PTAN, Nick Odunoye while presenting the food items to traditional rulers of the various communities said, the gesture is part of measures to assist the state government in the fight against the virus.
In the same vein, the Chairman of PTAN’s COVID-19 support committee Eminembiri Otaji, said 70% of the items were distributed to communities around Trans-Amadi. This is because most of its members carry-out operations in the area. The items will help beneficiaries obey the sit at home order by the government, he noted.
Traditional Rulers of the various communities in their remarks, thanked the PTAN for coming to their aid this trying period.
