The protest in Port Harcourt almost turned violent after a protester reportedly threw a sachet water at the state commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu.
According to Rivers Journalist, Allwell Ene the sachet water was provided by the Police to support protesters.
He said it took the intervention of other protesters to calm the situation as they pleaded with the CP, who from all indications would have stopped the protest.
He said, “Police came and brought water for the protesters. One boy used the water and threw one hatchet at the commissioner of Police. “If not that people begged, he would have stopped the protest.”
