The Rivers State Police Command has arrested three persons over alleged looting during the #EndBadGovernance protest in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
The State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu disclosed this when he visited the Federal Secretariat along ABA Road in Port Harcourt, shortly after violent attacks in the area.
According to him, the protest is now bigger than the organizers, adding that hoodlums have hijacked it.
He stated that the command will not sit back and watch hoodlums cause mayhem in the state by attacking those not interested in the protest, and looting of shops.
He warned those perpetrating violence to desist from it, as the command and sister agencies have been mobilized to ensure the security of lives and property.
