The Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei has finally spoken about the incident at the House of Representatives, where he fainted while answering questions from lawmakers over expenses made by the commission.
The MD in an interview with Vanguard Today, said, “It is ridiculous to think that people believed I was acting.”
Pondei revealed that he was suffering from a mysterious and unpredictable health challenge and was surprised people thought he faked the incident.
He furthermore said “the accusations/allegations were laughable. From N40 billion missing, the probes now became extra-budgetary spending. After accusing the EIMC of embezzlement of N40 billion, nothing was substantiated.”
