Detained Rivers Federal lawmaker, Farah Dagogo has gone to court to compel the People’s Democratic Party and the Independent National Electoral Commission to include him as one of the aspirants in the forthcoming Rivers governorship primary election.
According to him, as an aspirant, he was duly nominated; completed and submitted the said nomination form to the PDP, and accompanied them with all the relevant documents.
He also explained that he satisfied and abided by the guidelines, rules and all laws made by PDP relating to the conduct of primary elections.
The lawmaker, is also seeking an order of the High Court to restrain INEC from monitoring the conduct of the PDP primary election.
Barring any last minute changes, the screening will hold on Wednesday 26th May 2022.
