A member of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu has attributed the death of lawmakers to the undue pressure from their constituents.

Kalu made this known in a statement, while reacting to the death of one of his colleagues, Ossy Prestige, who died in Germany few days ago.

He said the pressure on lawmakers are enormous, little wonder they die of heart attacks and other chronic ailments.

“That is the truth and the truth must be told, whether you want to understand it or not, let the press know that the pressure from constituents is killing members of the National Assembly,” he said.

“That is the truth, the pressure is too much, people are receiving pressure from constituents on issues that is way out of the scope,” he added.
