The Director, new media, PDP campaign council in Rivers state, Ibim Semenitari has denied media reports that the party rigged last saturday’s presidential election in the state.
Semenitari, a former MD of the NDDC in a statement said the PDP is a responsible party, and that the result of the election are a true reflection of what took place at the polling units.
She also noted that the numbers announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission tally with the result sheet captured by voters.
“We are a responsible party. We will not do any such thing. We need everyone in Rivers state to win the elections so how can we be involved in anything that will affect their rights?” she said.
“The voters are the only strength we have and we need them on our side, now more than ever.
“Numbers announced by INEC tally with the result sheets as captured by vigilant voters,” she added.
