Obio/Akpor Local Government council is inviting the public to the issuance of cheques to beneficiaries of its Post Graduate grants to both indigenes and non-indigenes to pursue their Ph.D and Master’s programmes.
Chief Press Secretary of the council, Ichenwo Goodluck in a statement said the event will be chaired by Chief Hon. O.C.J. Okocha, Senior Advocate of Nigeria with Rep. Kingsley Chinda DSSRS and Prof. Chinedu Mmom as special guests.

He also said, the award of Seven Hundred Thousand Naira for Ph.D students and Five Hundred Thousand Naira to Master’s students, is in line with the policy thrust of Barr. George Ariolu, DSSRS, the Executive Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government council in laying a solid foundation for the future of the LGA and it’s people.
