There was pandemonium in Port Harcourt yesterday after cultists numbering over 50 attacked and robbed POS operators, passers-by and shop owners, along the Iloabuchi by Awkuzu down to Dick Tiger axis of Diobu.

Sources say the cultists had gone to the rally of a political party yesterday, and carried out the incident on their way back at about 7:30pm.

They said POS operators, shop owners and passers-by were robbed of cash and personal valuables by the youths who were armed with dangerous weapons.

A resident of the area who was robbed of his mobile phone said the boys went on rampage after they were not paid for going to a campaign.

He said the incident caused panic in the area as so many persons sustained injuries while running from the hoodlums.

The Police was yet to react to the incident.
