- Chief Ollor Lauds Rivers State Government As Gov. Fubara Flags-off Legacy Project..
The Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA Chief Obarilomate Ollor has lauded the flag-off of the first and legacy project of His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara the Executive Governor of Rivers State upon assumption of office less than 50days ago.
Chief Ollor said the 50.15km Port Harcourt Dual Carriage Ring Road which cuts across six LGAs including Ikwerre, Obio Akpor, Port Harcourt City, Okrika, Eleme and Etche promises to improve economic activities within its corridors.
According to Chief Ollor, “this road is of huge economic importance to the Communities that share it, especially those in the rural areas like Ikwerre, Eleme and Etche. You know this people are predominantly farmers and they now have access road where their produce can be sold. It brings all economic activities closer and improves on the wealth of the people.”
Ollor noted that the newly initiated Port Harcourt Ring Road will greatly benefit the people of Eleme as it will serve as an alternative to the failed session of the Eleme axis of the East West Road which continue to suffer a miscarriage of good governance informed by national political gimmicks.
He pointed out that the importance of the project does not lie only in the structure of the project but the concept behind the project which the governor has initiated within his first 50days, a sure indication that more glorious projects will be successfully completed before the end of this tenure.
