The Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, says it would join junior police officers in solidarity should they decide to go ahead with their proposed strike on Saturday, March 26, 2022.
The outspoken chairman of RIVCSO, Enefaa Georgewill disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
Junior officers had planned to embark on a warning strike to protest against their poor working conditions, poor salaries, lack of genuine welfare benefits and outdated weapons.
Though, the acting Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi had debunked the claim, maintaining that information about the purported strike was fake and mischievous.
Sources say the junior officers are determined to go with the strike which has been dubbed a showdown with the management of their security agency.
They are also believed to have called on their colleagues, especially those attached to politicians not to resume for duties on the day of the protest, as strike is the only language Nigeria Government understands.
