The Police Service Commission (PSC) has assured that the ongoing reform in the force will birth a new Police force that will meet the expectations of Nigerians, while carrying out their duties effectively and efficiently. This is in line with the Police Act and the Constitution.
Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations of the commission made this known in a statement on behalf of the commission, Friday.
He equally noted that any mobile police officer indicted by the Presidential Panel on Reform of the disbanded Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS),will be dealt with inline with the laws of the land.
“The Commission wishes to reiterate its commitment to holding Police Officers, whether of the defunct Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) or conventional, accountable for their actions and inactions and will continue to ensure instant due punishments for misconducts,” he said.
