Police Reacts to Report of IGP’s Tenure Elongation by President Tinubu

The Nigeria Police Force says President Bola Tinubu did not extend the tenure of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun.

Muyiwa Adejobi – Force spokesperson in a statement said the President only gave his approval to the law governing the tenure of the office as required.

According to him the IGP’s appointment is for four years.
