The Rivers State Police Command says Police Officers on stop and search duty do not the right to search the phones of citizens without a valid court order.
Spokesperson of the command, DSP Grace Koko made this known when she appeared on NigrInfo’s Morning Crossfire Today.
She stated that officers can search the car and properties of citizens if they suspect anything, and called on citizens to report cases of crime and criminality to the nearest Police station or come to the headquarters.
