The Rivers State Police Command, says a pistol was found on the final year Student of the State University that was shot dead by another student on Thursday.
Spokesman of the state Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni confirmed this in a statement.
He said a brown pistol was discovered after the deceased was searched before he was taken to the mortuarty.
Omoni noted that serious investigation is currently ongoing to arrest other members of the group.
He said the incident was as a result of a cult clash between two rival groups and that police officers have been stationed in the school to ensure peace and stability.
