The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of one Owate Bode for reportedly killing his mother after she refused to give him the sum of ten thousand naira.
The incident occured over the weekend in Eleme local government area of the state.
Spokesperson of the Command, Grace Koko confirmed his arrest in a statement on Sunday.
According to her, the state commissioner of Police, Okon Effiong has ordered that the suspect be moved from the Eleme Police Division to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
Meanwhile the suspect has confessed to killing his mother. He said, he hit her with a hoe after she refused to give him the money he requested for.
