The Rivers State Police Command says the police officer who reportedly shot dead a father of three has been arrested.
Spokesperson for the Command Grace Iringe-Koko said the officer is attached to the Police Mobile Force 43 squadron Gombe, and that investigation is currently on going.
The officer reportedly shot dead the father of three at a popular bar along the Elekahia axis of Port Harcourt.
The incident happened on Thursday after an outing with his wife and children.
A source explained that there was a car-snatching incident in that area around 8pm which led to an uproar and caused the victim to come out of the restaurant he was in with his family. She said the policeman shot at the deceased while he was inside his car with his family.
