The Rivers State Police Command says it has arrested the manager of Nwayioma hotel in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, over the death of a female staff, Nnnena Onu.
Onu, was allegedly tortured to death by her employer following her failure to account for the sum of N17,500.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the arrest of the manager, and also revealed that investigation is ongoing.
“Yes, I can confirm. The manager of the hotel has been arrested. Investigation is ongoing,” she said.
Recall that the Rivers State Civil Society Organization had called for the arrest and prosecution of those involved in the incident.
