The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Rivers State says it is ready to fight pipeline vandalism in the state.
State commandant General, Ahmed Audu said this while parading over 40 thieves arrested in the last four months, on Tuesday, in Port Harcourt.
He said they are working with sister agencies to ensure the protection of critical asset.
Audu, explained that those arrested are currently being investigated and will be charged to court for possible prosecution in due time.
He said items recovered includes, 9 pumping machines, 59 Jerry cans, 7 Yamaha engine, 100 petroleum pipes, petroleum products amongst others.
He warned those involved in the illegal act to desist from it or face the full weight of the law when caught.
