The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHED, has warned against operating daily commercial activities under power lines.
The company in a statement said the act is hazardous as the risk of cable snap can lead to fallen wires which could result in loss of lives.
It advised citizens to stay far from power lines.
“Operating daily commercial activities under power lines is hazardous, as the risk of cable snap can lead to fallen energized wires, resulting in severe consequences, causing possible loss to lives and properties. Avoid it!” Phed said.
