The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution (PHED) has suspended its planned increase in electricity tariff in Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River and Akwa Ibom states.
This was made this known in a statement signed by the management of PHED.
This is in fulfilment of the agreement reached between the federal government and the organised labour few weeks ago.
The organised labour had threatened to embark on a nation wide strike following the increase in pump price and electricity tariff if the government failed to reverse its decision.
