Mayor Of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Sir Allwell Ihunda has said that projects embarked upon by his administration are targeted at improving on the internally generated revenue of the council.
Hon. Ihunda said this at the commissioning of the Port Harcourt Digital Tools Mall constructed by his administration.
He stated that the project which was flagged off for construction in October 2021 as part of activities to mark his first 100days in office has in less than One year of his administration been completed and delivered to the people of Port Harcourt.
He commended the people of Rumuwoji Community for their tremendous support to the contractors through out the timeline of the construction.
The Mayor also commended His Excellency, Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike’s great strides in infrastructural and human capital development since he assumed office.
Part of his statement reads,
I give God all the glory for the good things he has done in our lives and the LGA, may I use this opportunity to also thank the Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike and the entire people of Port Harcourt for the privilege to serve in this capacity, without you we wouldn’t have been here to provide this services”.
Today we are following his footsteps to do what we are doing.
Few weeks back we joined the Governor to commission and flag off various projects across the state, today we are doing same in our LGA”.
This project and some others we have embarked upon will improve on our internally generated revenue and ensure that we dont totally depend on the federal allocation.
