Tragedy was averted on Friday evening as a tanker loaded with PMS caught fire at Artillery in Port Harcourt.
Though no life was lost, the tanker was severely burnt as residents and passersby scampered for safety.
An eyewitness said the incident caused panic in the area, and that the cause of the fire was unknown.
