Residents of Marine Base in Port Harcourt, have commended the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for the installation of Solar Street Lights in the area.
One of the residents, Doris Nweke – a roasted corn seller highlighted the impact these lights have had on her business and the enhanced security within her community’.
According to her, since the installation of the street lights sales have improved as people can easily see her for patronage.
Nweke added that she no longer struggle to use torch light, and that robbery has reduced in the area at night.
