President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, on Thursday stated that petrol prices in Nigeria remain relatively low compared to other West African countries, where a litre sells for more than $1 (approximately ₦1,600).
Speaking during the flag-off of the reconstruction of the Deep Sea Port Access Road in Lagos State, Dangote said Nigeria’s fuel supply situation has significantly improved.
“The majority of fuel stations that were not working, they are now back to work; there is no more shortage, no more queues, and there will never be,” he said.
He addressed public concerns over fuel costs, asserting that the current price of petrol—below ₦900 per litre—should not be considered high when viewed in a regional context.
