South South National Vice Chairman of Labour Party, Reuben Favor has said that Deinye Pepple remains the authentic chairman of the party in Rivers State.
Favor in a statement at the weekend said a court order has been gotten to that effect.
He also said the National Working Committee of the party has mandated Dienye Pepple to pilot the affairs of the party in Rivers State.
Pepple added that the letter which conferred Hilda Dokubo as the Steering Committee Chairman of the party in the state, expired on the 9th of April 2023.
“Regarding the Labour Party issue in Rivers State, the authentic chairman of the Labour Party in Rivers State is Dienye Pepple and no other person,” he said.
“Initially, the former National Chairman gave a letter to Hilda Dokubo as Chairman of the Steering Committee in Rivers State, and it expired on the 9th of this month. So she seizes to be chairman of the Steering Committee,” he added.
