Pensioners in Rivers State have urged the Sole Administrator, Ibok Ibas, to honor his May Day pledge to clear outstanding pension arrears.
The appeal was made on Tuesday following a meeting held in Port Harcourt, where the pensioners expressed frustration over the lack of action by the current administration to address the backlog of payments.
According to the group, many retirees are enduring financial hardship due to the unpaid entitlements. They called on Ibas to act swiftly on his earlier commitment, reportedly made on May 1, to settle the arrears.
