Three suspects were yesterday arrested for forging the State Government Staff Identification Cards in the ongoing verification of retirees in Rivers State.
The state Head of Service, Rufus Godwin disclosed this in a statement yesterday.
According to him, the suspects included one Akama Overseer and a civil servant, Enoch Opara, who conspired with others at large.
He stated that the accomplices are being trailed by the Police and will be punished in accordance with the laws of the land when arrested.
He also said the suspects were arraigned on Monday before a Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt for conspiracy and forgery.
He assured that the state government will continue with the verification and payment exercise without any hindrance.
