Spokesperson of the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, Solomon Lenu has advised civil servants in the state, not to go and start borrowing because the state government has promised to pay their gratuities and pension arrears in May.
Lenu, who gave the warning yesterday, advised the civil servants to be careful.
According to him, everything about Gov. Wike is politics, and that this could as well be one of those empty promises just like the 5000 teachers job.
“Dont go borrowing because Governor Nyesom Wike has promised to pay your pensions in may… be circumspect…,” he said.
“…Because everything about Gov Wike is politics, this could as well be one of those. Just like the 5000 teachers job,” Lenu added.
