Some Rivers Elders led by Chief, Anabs Sara-Igbe has vowed to appeal the ruling of the Rivera State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt which struck out a suit challenging the legality of President Bola Tinubu‘s intervention to resolve the political crises in the state.
Justice Chiwendu Nworgu on Tuesday, struck out the suit for lack of jurisdiction and declined jurisdiction to entertain the suit.
Nworgu cited the judgment of James Omotosho of an Abuja High Court, which nullified the activities of the Edison Ehie-led faction of the Assembly.
However, the group in a statement shortly after the court sitting said they will appeal the ruling, adding that the peace deal is unlawful and not in the best interest of Rivers people.
