The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Forum has declared its unwavering support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s leadership in Rivers State, emphasizing his pivotal role in safeguarding the party’s unity and stability. The declaration came during a visit to the Government House in Port Harcourt on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
National Chairman of the Forum, Jamilu Ali Kalshingi praised Gov. Fubara for resolving internal party conflicts and resisting external pressures. He called the court ruling affirming the legitimacy of Rivers State’s local government chairmen and nullifying a disputed PDP congress a victory for the state, the PDP, and Nigerian youths.
The Forum also commended Gov. Fubara for maintaining focus despite political challenges. “Your commitment to good governance and the party’s principles has been a source of pride and encouragement to the youth,” said Mr. Brown Odey, the Forum’s Secretary.
In response, Gov. Fubara assured the youth of his dedication to strengthening the PDP. He highlighted the importance of unity within the party and expressed confidence that the Forum’s efforts would yield positive results. “We remain the true PDP in Rivers State, and we are committed to ensuring the party’s growth and success,” the governor affirmed.
