Nigeria’s main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party, says plans are still underway for its convention slated for October 30 and 31, 2021 regardless of the case in court.
Embattled National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus had dragged the party to court, in a bid to stop the forthcoming convention.
But, publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiya in a statement Today, said they are going ahead with the convention, as the party cannot operate based on mere speculations.
He stated that the party would know what to do if the ruling expected to be delivered in Port Harcourt on Thursday, goes against them.
He also said the party is strong enough to handle internal matters and that the matter would be resolved.
Ologbondiya, also said the party was yet to zone the 2023 presidency.
